Father Steve Returns Today: Father Steve returns to St. Andrew’s this morning after a 12 week sabbatical. During this sabbatical, Father Steve and Melanie worshipped on Sunday mornings in the Dioceses of South Carolina; Washington, and West Virginia. Father Steve found that a clergy sabbatical is refreshing (both physical & spiritual), and why Bishops encourage their clergy to go on sabbatical (at least every 5-7 years). This was the first sabbatical that Father Steve has taken in his 13 years of Ordained Ministry. Father Steve would also like to thank the St. Andrew’s congregation for allowing him to take the time away for a sabbatical.

Big Thank You to Supply Clergy: A big Thank You to the supply clergy who did the Sunday services during Father Steve’s sabbatical.

Canon to the Ordinary Visitation: The Rev. Canon Scott Slater, Canon to the Ordinary (Bishop), will be making an Official Diocesan Visit to St. Andrew’s on Sunday, October 6th. Canon Slater will be the Celebrant at both services, and will meet with the Advisory Board by themselves, and the whole congregation during fellowship time. More details will be forthcoming.

Holy Eucharist this Wednesday – 6:00 p.m.: Feast Day, St. Mary the Virgin, Mother of Our Lord Jesus (transferred from 8/15).

Livestreaming Returns Today: The Livestreaming of all our services returns to today. Some people have contacted Father Steve during his sabbatical saying that they missed the Livestreaming of our services on Facebook and are happy to see them return.

We Begin in Silent Prayer: It has always been the custom of the Anglican/Episcopal Church, that upon entering, and sitting in your pew you go to your knees (if able) and enter into a time of silent prayer. Beginning today, immediately after the organ prelude; announcements, and before the service begins, we will have a moment of Silent Prayer. If not sure what to Pray, turn to page #833 of the Prayer Book, and use Prayer #64.
