Law Enforcement Memorial Service & Mother’s Day Banquet – Next Sunday: The special service for the Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service, and Mother’s Day Banquet, is next Sunday, May 12th. . This year, the Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Week Service at St. Andrew’s will be on a Sunday, at the kick-off of  the National Law Enforcement Memorial Week. At St. Andrew’s we also recognize Correctional Officers. There will be some local political dignitaries at this service, and will be presenting proclamations. This will be the 3rd year that St. Andrew’s has hosted this Police Memorial Service to be held in conjunction with the National Law Enforcement Memorial Week.

A.P. Testing: Again, St. Andrew’s will be used for Advanced Placement Testing for Clear Spring High School Students. The testing is in Perry Hall, and the dates are May 9th, and May 16th.

Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland: The 2 day Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland will be this Friday & Saturday (May 10th & 11th). Carlene Staley is St. Andrew’s Lay Delegate. Prayers are requested for both the laity and clergy during these two days of  Diocesan business.

T-Shirts should be here next Sunday: For those who answered Father Steve’s text message, and Facebook message 2 weeks ago about ordering more St. Andrew’s silkscreen t-shirts from Fastink in Mercersburg, your shirts should be here next Sunday. Father Steve will take more orders for these types of shirts, and embroidered clothing upon his return from Sabbatical.

Brief Meeting with Advisory Board this Morning: There will be a brief meeting with the Advisory Board this morning, following the 9:00 a.m. service. The Advisory Board is asked to meet with Father Steve in the Church.

Easter Candy 2019: Thanks to all who were involved in the making, donation of materials,  and sales of Candy Easter Eggs this year. We made around $4,000.00 from the sale!

Father Steve begins Sabbatical next Sunday – May 12th: Following the services next Sunday, and fellowship time, Father Steve will begin his 12 week Sabbatical. The Sunday clergy supply schedule to cover while Father Steve is on Sabbatical has been posted on the bulletin boards, and on the Church website. Remember: There will ONLY be one service a week, that being Sunday at 9:00 a.m. All other services will be put on hold until Father Steve returns from Sabbatical. The recording of music will continue by our organist, but there will be no Livestreaming of services on the Saint Andrew’s Facebook page. Father Steve will be doing a wedding, off campus, in June. If, in the event, there is a serious pastoral emergency that involves an active parishioner of St. Andrew’s, Father Steve will return to handle that incident while on his Sabbatical. Father Steve will begin his Sabbatical, following all services, and special activities on May 12th, and end his Sabbatical, and return to St. Andrew’s on Sunday, August 11th.
