Communion from the Reserved Sacrament – 9:00 A.M.
Jocelyn Update: Jocelyn is still at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Baltimore, in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit). Father Steve traveled to Johns Hopkins on Tuesday afternoon, and was able to visit Jocelyn; Pray, and Lay hands on her for healing. At the time of the visit, Jocelyn was still under sedation after having going through a procedure. Jocelyn is still in serious condition, and needs many Prayers. The family is Thankful for the many Prayers that are being lifted from close and far. Our “Livestreaming Parishioners” from all across the Country, and even around the World are Praying for Jocelyn.
Father Steve & Melanie Away Today: Father Steve & Melanie are in Pawley’s Island, S.C. today visiting Rhett; Beth; Liam, and Evan. They will return home next Friday Evening (September 18th.) Deacon John will be doing the service today of Holy Communion from Reserved Sacrament.
No Morning Prayer this week at the Church: While Father Steve is in South Carolina, there will be no Morning Prayer at the Church. HOWEVER; Father Steve will Livestream Morning Prayer on the Church Facebook Page this week from South Carolina at 9:00 a.m. Livestreaming will be Monday (14th) – Thursday (17th). There is no Livestreaming on Friday (11th) and Friday (18th) which are travel days to and from South Carolina.
“Church With No Walls” Next Sunday: Our next “Church With No Walls” outside service is next Sunday, September 20th @ 11:00 a.m. Host will be Elizabeth Miller, and the location is Miller’s Farmstead. Marcel Wenker will be preparing the main entree for the fellowship meal. Main entree: Pulled Pork; Bratwurst, and German Potato Salad. Those attending are asked to provide a covered dish or dessert if able. Remember, next “Church With No Walls” is next Sunday, September 20th @11:00 a.m., Miller’s Farmstead along U.S,. Route 40 at the corner of Spickler Road, Clear Spring.
“Western Theme” Rally Sunday In Two Weeks – September 27th: Since we have a few “Cowboys/Cowgirls” in the congregation, Father Steve talked to the Sunday school teachers about the whole congregation participating in a “Western Theme” Sunday. If you have anything that you think is Western, or makes you look like a “Cowboy/Cowgirl”, we are asking you to wear it in two weeks on Rally Sunday, September 27th.
Motorcycle Blessing – St. John’s Episcopal Church – Kingsville, MD. Father Steve has been requested to do a Motorcycle Blessing, next Saturday, September 19th., 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Kingsville, Maryland. This is the Church where The Rev. Elizabeth Sipos, wife of our organist, Daniel Weatherholt, is the Rector, and also where they both live on the Church Campus. Father Steve & Melanie will be traveling down to Kingsville on their Harley. Anyone else who wants to ride, please contact Father Steve. Plans are to leave the Hagerstown area no later than 7:30 a.m. on the 19th.
Orange Phase: We are now in the Diocesan approved “Orange Phase”. There are some requirements, and restrictions for us to be in this phase of “Regathering”. Please follow the directions on the posted signs, and from our ushers. The tape on the floor, and in the pews, mark the Social Distancing requirements. Those who live together, are exempted from the Social Distancing requirements. However, please do not sit in the pews that are closed.
Receiving Holy Communion: Please come to the Communion rail to receive the Sacrament (Bread). You may stand only, and we can have 3 people at the rail the same time and follow the Social Distancing requirements. Those living together are exempted from the distancing requirements at the Communion Rail, but are required to stand while receiving the Sacrament.
Today’s Service Not Livestreamed: While Father Steve is away, services are not Livestreamed on the St. Andrew’s Facebook page.
