St. Hubert Hunting Fellowship: St. Hubert (Hubertus), the Bishop of Liege 708 A.D., and died in 727 A.D., is considered the Patron Saint of Hunters. There is more to say about St. Hubert, however, the symbol that is used for St. Hubert is a picture of a stag (male deer) with the Crucifix between the stag’s antlers. To learn more about St. Hubert, go to our Church website. Father Steve is forming a local group (Only at St. Andrew’s.) of parishioners interested in hunting and parishioners who do not hunt, but lend support to hunters. Father Steve has already designed a t-shirt logo; took orders, and has placed the initial orders at Fastink in Mercersburg. There are initially two t-shirts: Camouflage & Blaze Orange. The t-shirts are Long Sleeve, and Short Sleeve. Father Steve is also taking orders for an embroidered zip up fleece jacket. The vision for the St. Hubert Hunting Fellowship at St. Andrew’s, is for all the hunters to Pray Before Hunting; Be Considerate of God’s Creation While Hunting; Make All Shots Good (Do not wound the wildlife.), and share when possible, their bounty with others. In January 2020, Father Steve would like to start having an Annual St. Hubert’s Wild Game Feast at St. Andrew’s that is open to Church members and invited guests.

St. Andrew’s T-Shirts: Father Steve & Melanie, dropped off an order to Fastink for our popular St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church “Growing in Love” t-shirts. These t-shirts will be ready about the same time as the St. Hubert t-shirts.
