Foundations Family Church from Hagerstown has made plans to join us for worship at the Contemporary Worship Service. Some of these folks will also worship with us at our 9:00 A.M. Traditional Service next Sunday.

October 2013 Monthly Epistle is available: Our October newsletter is now available in print & on the Church website.

Reusable Bulletins – “Going Green”: We are already using laminated reusable bulletins for Evening Prayer at St. Andrew’s. Beginning next Sunday you will see laminated reusable bulletins for both Rite I & Rite II Holy Eucharist. These plastic bulletins will be in your pew racks. Special Thanks to Chuck & Patty Kauffman for taking on this project and donating their time and materials to make these bulletins. This project is one of the many ways we are “Going Green” at St. Andrew’s. The weekly scripture inserts that are donated to the Church by Carlene Staley will still be handed out as well as weekly announcements. The other ways your Vicar & leadership team have “Gone Green” was by eliminating the unnecessary, and wasteful use of electricity around the Church campus. In the past year, we have saved tremendously on our Church electric bill by turning off lights. We have also saved by turning off the hot water heater and fixing the thermostats in Perry Hall.

The Dismissal after Worship: For the last two weeks; your clergy have asked the congregation to turn and face them while giving the dismissal. This has been the accepted practice throughout the Church, and is encouraged by your Bishops. Also, beginning today; we will not kneel for silent prayer after the Recessional Hymn. The Dismissal will be given immediately after the ending of the Recessional Hymn. The candles will be extinguished during the postlude. Any questions see Fr. Steve.
